The residents of Lindon Road had decided that their front gardens needed some care and attention, with many of them being keen gardeners, Spirita decided to fund a team from RedWelly™ to start off the process. Design of the Gardens The design of the area reflected that the residents wanted to add privacy to their front gardens:
Event Day The day started off with several downpours but that did not dampen the spirits of the four trainee police officers who had joined the RedWelly™ team on site. Main challenges of the site were:
The team laboured until 17:30 to ensure that the work would get done and despite the weather achieved the planned work. The fence went up in record time due the the skilled work donated for the day by E M Property Service Ltd and the whole team kept up their spirits by liberal cups of tea provided by the garden users. As you can see from the finished beds on the right, although only a small part of the site, the beds are quite extensive, planting was chosen with ease of maintenance in mind and in two years will have filled out the beds.
